Release Recap: June Week 1

Going to try something new here. Each Sunday I will do a quick recap of the prior week’s releases as well give an update on the status for upcoming releases. Besides Firefox and Thunderbird, I will also include addons.mozilla.org (AMO) as well.

AMO (addons.mozilla.org) 3.4.3 – An updated version of AMO with improved search capabilities was suppose to be released on June 5th. However this has been pushed back to June 12th to address some performance issues with the search feature.

Firefox 2.0.0.15 – Still (tentatively) scheduled for June 24th. There was suppose to be a code freeze this past Friday (June 6th) but that may have been pushed back due to lack of patches checked-in. Should have more info after Monday’s Weekly Update meeting.

Firefox 3.0RC2 -Firefox 3 RC2 was released on June 4th.

Firefox 3.0RC3?No word yet if there is going to be an RC3 or if RC2 will end up being the final release. Final release still scheduled for sometime by the end of this month. Again, should have more information after Monday’s Weekly Update meeting.

Thunderbird 1.5.0.14 MU – A major update to pull users off the unstable and insecure TB 1.5.0.14 build on to the current TB 2.0.0.14 build. This is scheduled to go live around Monday, June 9th.
