Since I want to see how the whole message tagging system worked on TBird 3 (Shredder), so I went ahead downloaded and installed TBird 3 Alpha 2. This is it for the Thunderbird 3 Alpha builds. After I got Alpha 2 installed I changed over to the ‘Nightly’ Update Channel and downloaded Shredder/3.0b1pre. Cain’t say I am too thrilled with the new logo…
What’s New in Shredder Alpha 2
There were over 300 bug fixes in this release, many laying the groundwork for future changes. Some notable changes include:

You can download Shredder in several localized builds from Mozilla Messaging.
That’s actually a really old logo. They used it a long time ago and must be using it again for trunk development.
Sure hope they are just using it for the trunk development. Looks more like a swan than a Thunderbird to me.
