Mozilla has released the 14th stability and security update for the Firefox 3 browser. For more information about What’s New in Firefox 3.0.14, check out the Firefox 3.0.14 Release Notes. Current Firefox 3 users may obtain Firefox 3.0.14 manually via the Check for Updates… option from the Help menu. Automatic upgrade (for those who have this feature enabled) should occur within the next 24-48 hours. Firefox 3.5.3 introduced a new feature which would check the Adobe Flash Plugin upon first restart after installing the update. Mozilla is working on getting a ‘Plug-in Check’ page launched later this month that users can visit to check their plug-ins status. Further Firefox 3.6 will be able to check and notify the user of new updates for their plug-ins, just like Firefox currently does for extensions and themes. Source: Mozilla Links
Firefox 3.5.3 was released on September 10th. This release addresses three critical security vulnerabilities. This is the first Firefox release which will check for out-dated plugins. However, at this Firefox will only be checking to see if your Adobe Flash Plugin is current.
