Much to Microsoft’s dismay people are still using IE6 (released in 2001). 11%-12% of the browser market to be exact. Consider IE9 is suppose to be coming out later this year, Microsoft would really like to be done with IE6. So they have launched a site called IE6Countdown.com. The purpose of the site is to countdown the market share of IE6 until it reaches 1% (don’t expect that to be anytime soon). It also shows this market share by country. The country still using IE6 the most is China making up 35% of the usage of IE6.
