How to show the full URL in Firefox Part 2

A bit of clarification is in order in regards to the How to show the full URL in Firefox we posted earlier. The tweak which we had posted a while back is correct and will show the full URL including the http://www and the trailing ‘/’. However, the premise for this CNET article is not correct, Firefox currently and ALWAYS will show when you are on a secure connection (https) by default. It will not show the http (and www) in the address bar starting with Firefox 7. Someone already had commented about this on the CNET post and the author had replied back that their Firefox does not ever show https in the address bar.
