Just One More Thing…

The famous words of Lieutenant Columbo…I have decided to add the ‘Archives’ widget into the left side-bar since this theme doesn’t seem to have the ability to go back to older entries from the main page.

A Quick Note From The Guru

Note: If this page is displaying a bit funky hold the SHIFT key and click the ‘Reload’ button to force Firefox reload the page correctly. The Firefox Extension Guru’s Blog has a new theme! On December 7th, WordPress introduced a new three-column theme called 2813 (Twenty-eight Thirteen) . Normally, I’ve not been a fan of these three-column themes, but my side-bar content has become quite lengthy in the past few weeks. Having the side-bar content broken-up and displayed in two columns does look better. Another neat feature of this theme is when you hover over a link it becomes highlighted….

Six Months Ago…

Here we are, the 1st of November. Yikes, where has the year gone!? I just realized six months ago today was my first post, (then at the old Blogger site) A Blog is Born! Never thought this Blog would take off, of course never really knew how well it was doing (or not doing) until early September when I moved to the New Blog Home. The comments, links and ping backs have been pouring in, especially in regards to the Firefox Tweaks. Even more impressive are the number of visits, especially during last week, when Firefox 2 was released. I…

New Blog Home: 2 Weeks Later

It has been 2 weeks since I moved the Blog from Blogger over here to its new home at WordPress. At first I was not sure if this was such a good idea, but I wanted to able to take advantage of the trackback features on CyberNet News. One of the things I do like about WordPress is it provides stats for your blog. I’ve been reviewing those daily and seeing a steady increase of views, that was until the 13th. On Wednesday the 13th the Adobe Acrobat vs FoxIt Reader entry alone had 87 of the total 222 views!…

Update: New Blog Home

For those who came here when I first announced the move, you may have notice several different theme changes. Yes, I’ve been experimenting and have been changing themes quite frequently. Been trying to find a theme that works well in design, content display as well as sidebar display. I decided the two column side bars were a bit much and found a nice simple theme. I also removed the archives widget from the sidebar as the past posts can be accessed via the calendar on the top right. This should (unless something new and exciting comes out) should be the…

Is Anyone Out There?

This Pearls Before Swine cartoon is the inspiration for this evening’s entry. I’ve gotten some feedback from members on Go Firefox! they have visited my blog. However, I really have no way of tracking visitors unless people leave comments!!! The only comments I have gotten thus far were obliviously done by a robot since they were by the same person, duplicated, minutes a part and not even related to the topic at hand. Because of this I had enabled to word verification feature for leaving comments. You see these all the time on web registrations forms, there is a graphic…

A Blog is Born!

Well, I have finally jumped on the bandwagon and have created a blog! This blog is going to be primarily (if not entirely) about my experiences with Firefox. What the heck is Firefox you might be asking yourself? Well, it is a free, open-source web browser created by the folks at Mozilla. It is a great alternative to the buggy and security hole ridden IE browser. I consider myself somewhat (only because I haven’t done any development type of stuff) of an advanced user of Firefox. Over the past year and half now, I have done a lot (including crashing)…
