This one still exists nearly two years later, which is a bit suprising. The inventor Richard Heenes as seen in the video is a just little wacky. Guess he is trying to draw attenion away from the whole Balloon Boy incident from back in October 2009. Wonder if he has sold enough to make back the $36,000 in restitution he had to pay?
Another failed product (and dead website), I wonder why?
One of those sounded good in theory, but not so much in reality. $49.95 (plus shipping & handling) seems a bit excessive. They must not have done so well, the website is no longer active.
In the phone market that is. Microsoft and Nokia have unveiled plans on how their partnership is going to keep both of them alive in the US mobile market. It will be interesting to watch, but I doubt Microsoft has a chance against Apple (which is now the most valuable company in the world) with their iPhone or the Android phones. The only “selling point” I have seen is towards the end of the article: As iPhones and Android devices pick up steam in the corporate world, BlackBerries are in less demand. Windows Phone 7, which comes with light Office…
Famous words of Microsoft CEO Steve Balmer in a 2007 Interview with CNBC in response to Steve Jobs unveiling of the iPhone at Mac World in January that year. By the end of 2007 with the iPhone only being on the market for six months apple sold nearly 1.4 million iPhones. That numbered jumped to 11.6 million, however 6.8 million of that was the newer iPhone 3G and also at that time Apple slashed the price to $399. [Full Sales History]
The newer versions of Real Player have added an annoying feature which will allow you to download a video playing in the browser. At first I thought disabling all the RealPlayer plugins within Firefox would take care of this. It did not and then I noticed the same thing happening in Chrome. After some poking around in RealPlayer (which I rarely use) I found out how to turn off this feature. Launch RealPlayer* From the RealPlayer drop-down menu at the upper left select Preferences.. Click the Download & Recording category (2nd from the bottom) You can either un-check the enable…
Well, this is certainly a major change for the next Windows operating system (code name Windows 8). Yahoo! says the new user interface is a lot like that of the Windows Phone UI. Big design emphasis to run on touch-screen PCs and tablets. However, you will still be able to use the traditional keyboard and mouse. ‘Windows 8’ also uses HTML 5 and JavsScript for many of the apps. The video also talks about the upcoming IE10.
Hard to believe it has been 15-years since Windows 95 was released. The operating system which introduced the ‘Start’ Menu, which forever changed the way people shut-down their computers. The Seattle Pi/Microsoft Blog have a tribute to Windows 95 including several rather odd marketing commercials.. The Microsoft Blog: Happy 15th birthday, Windows 95
It wasn’t all that long ago I moved the blog off the Quick Blogcast on to WordPress.com. It was just a little over 3-months ago I made that move. Today I moved the blog on to WordPress.org. I decided I would give WordPress.org a try to see how easy it is to work with and what options are available here that are not with the WordPress.com. I do not have any plans on moving the other two blogs (Email Mafia and FF Extension Guru) any time soon. So far the only issue I ran into was with the YouTube videos….
