Paste & Go coming to Firefox 4

Firefox 4 will now have a new feature available from the context menu called ‘Paste & Go’. This option is available when pasting into either the address bar or search box. As the name implies, once the content is pasted it automatically goes to the address or displays the results for the searched term. I can’t say I am all that excited about this feature. Changes to Search Engine Plugins Coming

Starting with most likely the next Firefox 3.6.x update (currently scheduled for mid-October) the default set of Search Engine plugins shipping with Firefox will be changing. Microsoft’s Bing will now be included (user had to manually install this search engine plugin prior). Answers.com and Creative Commons are being removed, but can be installed manually by clicking the links here. Google, Yahoo, Amazon, eBay and Wikipedia are staying put along with any other search engines the user has manually installed on their profile. Collected Addresses

A while back some of my family switched their ISP from Qwest to Cox. I had recently sent an email directly to one family member and they had replied back that it went to their old ISP’s email at qwest.net. Firefox 3.5.13 was released on September 16th and fixed a single stability issue affecting a limited number of users. See the Release Notes for more information. Auto-updates should be occurring in the next 24-48 hours, otherwise users may get the latest update by going to Help menu and selecting Check For Updates. Mozilla Messaging has release the fourth update for Thunderbird 3.1 based on the Gecko 1.9.2 platform. Also an update for Thunderbird 3.0 has also been released.
