Google researchers announced recently of the POODLE (Padding Oracle On Downgraded Legacy Encryption) Attack which hackers take advantage of sites (around 0.3%) still using the outdated (introduced in 1996) SSLv3 security protocol. Mozilla has announced that SSLv3 will be disabled, unfortunately it won’t be until Firefox 34 which will be released on November 25th. However, user can (and are urged to) install the SSL Version Control extension which will disable SSLv3 on the fly. First off, had no idea the former Microsoft CEO had purchased the Los Angeles Clippers. Anyway, he still supports Microsoft and has told the staff (including the head coach) ‘no iPads’. Ballmer has told the staff at the L.A. Clippers — including head coach Doc Rivers — that he doesn’t want iPads around the front office or on the bench. Earlier in January, a Google Chrome update include a new feature called Noisy Tabs which will put an indicator (speaker icon) on a tab that is playing audio. This helpful for when you do a session restore or you’re clicking links to open new tabs in the background then suddenly you have audio playing and have no idea which tab it is coming from. Reports are they have signed a dealer with Pokki developer SweetLabs to preload a software suite which adds a Start Menu to some of their Windows 8 PCs.
