The big news today is the release of Google’s new web browser, Chrome. The big ‘selling point’ for Chrome is it is faster because of the way it handles the tabs. Unlike Firefox, IE, Netscape, Opera, etc. where the browser is one huge process, Chrome allocates a process to each tab. So if there is a problem says JavaScript is hung-up in one of the tabs, only that tab will go down, not the entire browser. However, something doesn’t seem to make sense here. Alex Polvi’s Final Contribution

Mozillian Alex Polvi who was responsible for the Firefox Crop Circle and the Firefox 3 Robot Build fame is leaving Mozilla. However, he is not leaving without one final contribution. Updated TBird 3 Milestone Schedule

As mentioned in today’s Weekly Update Meeting, there is newly revised TBird 3 Milestone Schedule. The most noticeable about this new schedule is that does not include the final milestone, the release and the code freeze for the last build does not occur until January 2009.
