How to show the full URL in Firefox Part 2

A bit of clarification is in order in regards to the How to show the full URL in Firefox we posted earlier. The tweak which we had posted a while back is correct and will show the full URL including the http://www and the trailing ‘/’. However, the premise for this CNET article is not correct, Firefox currently and ALWAYS will show when you are on a secure connection (https) by default. . Firefox made a change to how URLs are displayed when visiting Web pages. Unfortunately, if you’re trying to find out if you’re on a secure connection by reading the protocol at the start of the URL, you can’t do that anymore.
