Firefox started crashing again when I went into WordPress ‘Visual Mode’ when composing a new post. This led me to believe that AdBlock Plus may not be the trouble. I had to end up removing AdBlock Plus add-on as well as the Adblock Plus folder within my profile folder. I thought it may had been Google Gears so I uninstalled the application and add-on from my system completely. I reinstalled AdBlock Plus, restarted Firefox and then went to load the EasyElement filter set and discovered I could not find this filter set. On EasyList was this note: List formerly known as EasyElement is now included in EasyList. Well that explains why Firefox has started crashing again. So right now I have Adblock Plus installed but without any filter sets installed.
However, today something happened that has not before, BreakPad kicked in and I was able to submit a crash report. I’ve already emailed the info to the AdBlock Plus developer but anyone else who wants to take a look at the report here it is:

I noticed this problem as well, and thanks to your post, saved a bit of time tracking down the problem.
Another workaround, and one I would recommend more than removing or disabling AdBlock Plus, would simply be to add an exception for any websites you use WordPress to maintain.
To do this, add a filter of the form @@|http://*yourdomain.com/* to AdBlock’s filter window. Add an exception with this format for each WordPress site you maintain.
I’ve tested this using the latest available build of AdBlock Plus running the latest (as of this posting) Firefox nightly and it works for me.

Oops. I miss a comma the first time around, and then forget to fix the tags. Sorry about that.
When I updated my Extensions today AdBlock Plus HIGHLY recommended uninstalling Filter Set G because it was not being maintained and updated. Replaced it with EasyList (USA) and it definitely got rid of a lot of annoying ads on many sites.
And as an added bonus, I can now run Flash videos on such sites as Fox News and Go Daddy that were not working before!
Oh, and I can also finally watch the Christmas 2008 Get A Mac commercial on YouTube . . .
