As if the Gates-Seinfeld ads (Shoe Store & New Family) weren’t odd, dumb, idiotic, etc, Microsoft has released two Internet Explorer 8 commercials. F.O.M.S. (Fear of Missing Something) and S.H.Y.N.E.S.S. (Sharing Heavily Yet Not Enough Sharing Still). Thankfully these are not as long as the Gates-Seinfeld ads, but they aren’t much better. It seems Microsoft is trying to target the social ‘market’ of the Internet with these two commercials:
