Mozilla released the eleventh beta for Firefox 4.0 on February 8th. This is a regular beta release and is being made available for testing purposes only.
New stuff in this Beta 11 release:
- Support for the proposed Do Not Track (“DNT”) header
- Connection status messages are now shown in a small overlay
- WebGL has been re-enabled on Linux
- The default homepage design has been refreshed
- Firefox no longer switches into offline mode automatically
- See the complete changelist from the previous beta
For more info see the release notes for Firefox 4 Beta 11. The next planned release is the Beta 12 then (maybe) moving in to the Release Candidate (RC) builds.
I like that the new connection status messages are now in a overlay on the bottom. It is very good, they are only there when needed. Would be great if when hovering links, they could also appear by this way, because in fullscreen, it is not possible to see these links.
Interesting to know. I am currently using the Status-4-Evar extension to replace the status bar behaviour.
Didn’t know that extension, thanks for the info. I like better the approach of the overlay, like it works in Chrome.
