A Fork in the Road

This was the subject line of an ultimatum email Chief Twit (Elon Musk) sent to the remaining Twitter employees during the night Tuesday (does he ever sleep?)

“lf you are sure that you want to be part of the new Twitter, please click yes on the link below,” Musk wrote. “Anyone who has not done so by 5pm ET tomorrow (Thursday) will receive three months of severance. Whatever decision you make, thank you for your efforts to make Twitter successful.”

The email, sent late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning, was first reported by The Washington Post and later by CNN. A screenshot of the email was posted on Twitter by CNN reporter Donie O’Sullivan.

Once again Chief Twit seems to think the Twitter employees have the same loyalty and dedication as those of SpaceX and Tesla….something they certainly do not. Theses are not employees who share his passion (that of Tesla and SpaceX) and also are not employees who are going to put up with his abuse (as we have already seen).  Given the holiday season is upon us, I would not be surprised if most employees decide they rather spend that time with friends and family rather than literally living in the office. Especially, since he is being so generous and offering three-months severance. Tune in Friday when it is revealed how many employees opted to take the ‘thee-month severance’…let’s just say this not going to end well for The Chief Twit.
