We plan on moving the blog over to the new hosting provider (Host Gator) this weekend. We ran into some troubles earlier today with another WordPress site (The Gallery) which did not want to migrate nicely. After a lot of trial-and-error we narrow down the issue to the theme being used on that site. Once we disabled said theme and switched default we were able to access the site again. We have since updated the theme to use the basic version of the same theme on this site. While it was a pain to redo the theme on The Gallery, at least we did not have to rebuild the entire site. We are hoping the migration of the blog will go smoother now that we have a better understand as to what went wrong with The Gallery.
