Mozilla Messaging released Thunderbird 3 Beta 4 on September 22nd. Again, not much news about this major milestone release. This week’s Mozilla Project Status Meeting did mention Thunderbird 3 Beta 4 had shipped.
Thunderbird 3 Beta 4 is now available for download. There are over 200 changes in this release, many laying the groundwork for future changes. Some notable changes include:

- For Windows Vista users, Thunderbird 3 is now integrated with Vista search results.
- For Mac users, Thunderbird 3 can import from Mail.app, read your OS X address book, and use Growl for new mail alerts.
- IMAP Folder Synchronization
