Firefox 3.1 is now 3.5

As I had mentioned last week in Firefox 3.1 Beta 3 Coming Soon & More News Mozilla was considering changing the number of Firefox 3.1 to 3.5. According to today’s Firefox meeting notes, the version bump aims to reflect more accurately the many changes introduced since the release of Firefox 3.0, the latest major release, last summer. Firefox 3.0.7 Released

Mozilla has released the seventh stability and security update for the current Firefox 3 browser. For more information about What’s New in Firefox 3.0.7, check out the Release Notes.  Current Firefox 3 users may obtain Firefox 3.0.7 manually via the Check for Updates… option from the Help menu. Automatic upgrade (for those who have this feature enabled) should occur within the next 24-48 hours. Alternatively, users may also download Firefox 3.0.7 directly via getfirefox.com

I have tried unsuccessfully for quite a while to have a background image in my TBird message signatures. Never really made sense why it would not work as the file looked fine in my HTML editor. Sure, I could add them into each message by going to Format >> Page Color and Backgrounds but that is a bit of pain to do each time I go to compose a message. Adobe released important updates to their Flash Player this week. Follow these steps to get the new player(s) correctly installed: Go to the Adobe Flash Page to see which version you are running. Look for the Version Information box just above the list of current versions. If you are the current version there is nothing more you need to do. Back on December 9th, 2008, Mozilla released Firefox 3.1 Beta 2. Ironically when Firefox 3.1 was announced (see What’s Next For Firefox?) back in June 2008, this was suppose to be around the time Firefox 3.1 was released.
