In September 2008 Microsoft launched a new and rather odd campaign featuring former Microsoft CEO Bill Gates and comedian Jerry Seinfeld. Does not matter how fast your connection is, if the sever you are accessing is over-loaded or just plain slow you are going to have issues with the site loading and functioning. Case in point, YouTube. During peak times YouTube servers are very busy and videos don’t buffer as quickly they would during non-peak times. So what happens when you go to watch a video it plays for a few seconds, stops and re-buffers and starts again. Mozilla has released the sixth stability and security update for the current Firefox 3 browser. For more information about What’s New in Firefox 3.0.6, check out the Release Notes. I mentioned couple weeks ago, Tweaks Update for Fx 3.1 were coming soon. So far I have gone through about 3/4 of the tweaks and have updated if they work with Firefox 3.1 or not. I should have the remaining tweaks checked out within in the next couple weeks.
I’ve recently received a couple more tweaks for dealing with the Firefox 3 ‘Awesome Bar’. Note: Tweaks do not work with Firefox 3.1! These are more updates to a couple of the tweaks: Number of Results – By default the Smart Location Bar will display a maximum of 10 or 12 results based on what is typed in the address bar.
