September 7th was a major release day for Mozilla. We saw new versions of Thunderbird 3.0 and 3.1 as well as newly released updates on all 3 active versions of Firefox (3.5, 3.6 and the developmental 4.0).
Firefox 3.6.9 has been released and fixes the following issues found in previous versions of Firefox 3.6:
- Introduced support for the X-FRAME-OPTIONS HTTP response header. Site owners can use this to mitigate clickjacking attacks by ensuring that their content is not embedded into other sites.
- Fixed several security issues.
- Fixed several stability issues.
- See complete release notes.
User should soon be prompted to upgrade but can also can by going to the Help the Menu and selecting Check For Updates… The next release is Firefox 3.6.10 due out in mid October.
