Fix ‘Close Other Tabs’ Warning ‘Fix’

Note: Yes, the post title is suppose to be that way. This is a ‘fix’ to fix the ‘fix’ in Firefox 18 which wasn’t fixed. Back in September we first talked about Close Other Tabs Warning being displayed even if the user had ‘turned off’ the warning in the options. In late October we posted an update that a ‘fix’ was suppose to land with Firefox 18. I had pretty much forgotten about this issue as I don’t use the ‘Close other tabs’ option in Firefox. Firefox 18 came out earlier this week and on the release post Cheryl commented “The…

WP SuperCache Plugin Danger!

Up until recently I’ve been using the WP SuperCache plugin to help speed up my WordPress sites. I was working on one of the sites the other night and had Weaver II run a diagnostics to see if there were any problems with the theme. It came back with a warning that I was using the WP SuperCache plugin and that this would prevent the automatic mobile device version of the theme from working. They did suggest a couple other caching plugins that would work without issues. The first one I tried was very complicated to setup and it actually slowed…

It has been a while since I’ve done much with this blog. That is going to change this year, call it a ‘New Year’s Resolution’ if you will. Most of what I plan on doing with this blog is going to be more Computer/Internet related. To be more specific: WordPress. Been doing a lot of work with WordPress for the past few days. Although I do not use Trend Micro my Cisco router blacklist evidently does as I was one of notifiers.Since I refer/link to his site all the time I thought I should put this up. “I received a couple of emails in the past five days that informed me that this site’s newsletter and later on the site were blocked by Trend Micro. The message that site visitors received was troubling. Trend Micro claimed that every page of the site was a “dangerous page” and that the company has confirmed that the website can “transmit malicious software or has been involved…

The numbering is now going to follow that of The Thunderbird ESR (extended support release) aka Thunderbird for Organizations which…
