Windows 10 22H2 Update Released

Microsoft Corporation 454,46 +2,87 +0,64% has released the 2022 Feature Update (Windows 10 22H2) for Windows 10. Hopefully, this will go smoother than the Window 11 22H2 update release back in September. Note: In order to get this update your device needs to be running Windows 10 20H2 (October 2020 update) or later (21H1, 21H2 or 22H1) . Not sure which version of Windows 10 you are running? You can check by pressing the WindowsKey +R and typing winver in the run box and pressing enter.

This is an optional update, so users will need to manually check for updates in their Settings, then choose Download and Install. As with most Windows updates a restart is required to complete the update.

Windows 10 22H2 is not a massive release and it only comes with a scoped set of features, including:

  • The option to receive important notifications when focus assist is on. Focus assist is like a do not disturb mode that hides notifications.
  • Restoring functionality for Windows Autopilot deployment scenarios that are affected by the security mitigation for hardware reuse.

Windows 10 22H2 Home and Pro editions will receive 18 months of servicing, while Enterprise and Education editions will be serviced for 30 months.
