Earlier, this week it was mentioned during the Mozilla Project Weekly Meeting, there was a Major Update planed to take users from the current Firefox 3.0.13 to Firefox 3.5.2. However, at that time it has not determined when this Major Update was going to be rolled out. It has been announced the Major Update has/is been/being rolled out now. A little later than planned but nonetheless, Mozilla has released the first developer milestone of Firefox 3.6 code named Namoroka. Namoroka is built on pre-release version of the Gecko 1.9.2 platform, which forms the core of rich internet applications such as Firefox. Please note that this release is intended for developers and testers only.
Mozilla has released the 13th stability and security update for the Firefox 3 browser. This release addresses five critical security vulnerabilities. Firefox 3.5.2 was released on August 3rd. This release addresses 3 security vulnerabilities, 2 labeled as critical by Mozilla that were disclosed last week at BlackHat /Defcon security conferences. Among stability improvements, it also brings proper ICC profiles rendering. Auto-updates should be occurring in the next 24-48 hours, otherwise users may get the latest update by going to Help menu and selecting Check For Updates.
