ADDONS.MOZILLA.ORG (AMO) 5.0.3 release this week Anonymized Survey Results The biggest request involves the review queue and the time it takes to get out of the sandbox. (24 requests) There is a real need for better documentation (22 requests) Tutorials are scattered across the internet and are often out of date. Issue with HTML attachments in TBird 2.0.0.19

Erin contacted The Guru with the below question. I tried doing a Google Search and checking the mozillaZine forums without much luck so may be someone else here can give us some advice: Since we upgraded to Thunderbird version 2.0.0.19 it seems that not all HTML attachments are treated the same (when sent). Those with ^M are sent as “quoted-printable” text (results in a problem) and the same file without ^M is send encoded base64 (producing desired results). Is there a way to force Thunderbird to treat them all the same? Thanks.

While I have always covered Thunderbird in the Firefox Extension Guru’s Blog, the Thunderbird content tends to get deeply buried beneath all the Firefox and general Mozilla posts. Firefox 3.1 is now 3.5

As I had mentioned last week in Firefox 3.1 Beta 3 Coming Soon & More News Mozilla was considering changing the number of Firefox 3.1 to 3.5. According to today’s Firefox meeting notes, the version bump aims to reflect more accurately the many changes introduced since the release of Firefox 3.0, the latest major release, last summer. Mozilla has released the seventh stability and security update for the current Firefox 3 browser. For more information about What’s New in Firefox 3.0.7, check out the Release Notes.  Current Firefox 3 users may obtain Firefox 3.0.7 manually via the Check for Updates… option from the Help menu.
