Firefox 3.6 about:support

A new feature now live on the Firefox 3.6 nightlies is about:support. This feature lists important information about your Firefox installation that will help support people help with problems you may have in the future. This provides a lot of similar information that the InfoLister extension provided. However, unlike InfoLister, a button allows you to copy all the information to the clipboard and paste to an email, forum, chat window, etc. Source: Mozilla Links

Thunderbird 3.0 Beta 4 Released

Mozilla Messaging released Thunderbird 3 Beta 4 on September 22nd. Again, not much news about this major milestone release. This week’s Mozilla Project Status Meeting did mention Thunderbird 3 Beta 4 had shipped. Thunderbird 3 Beta 4 is now available for download. There are over 200 changes in this release, many laying the groundwork for future changes. Firefox 3.0.14 Released

Mozilla has released the 14th stability and security update for the Firefox 3 browser. For more information about What’s New in Firefox 3.0.14, check out the Firefox 3.0.14 Release Notes. Current Firefox 3 users may obtain Firefox 3.0.14 manually via the Check for Updates… option from the Help menu. Automatic upgrade (for those who have this feature enabled) should occur within the next 24-48 hours. Firefox Plugin Updates Coming

Firefox 3.5.3 introduced a new feature which would check the Adobe Flash Plugin upon first restart after installing the update. Mozilla is working on getting a ‘Plug-in Check’ page launched later this month that users can visit to check their plug-ins status. Further Firefox 3.6 will be able to check and notify the user of new updates for their plug-ins, just like Firefox currently does for extensions and themes. Source: Mozilla Links
