Bigger Text is a Firefox for Mobile extension that makes the display text larger via a Menu options. Unlike the zoom method which increase image and text size, this extension only increases the text size. Just wanted to clarify that mozilla-central is the Nightlies channel for Firefox as in some places you will see mozilla-central. Further, Thunderbird is transitioning to the rapid release cycle as well with the labels comm-central (nightly), comm-aurora and comm-beta.
While we did say that we had ‘no big plans’ for this year we are launching a new category, Firefox for Mobile. This category is going to be reserved for release and support information as well as extension reviews for the Firefox for Mobile browser aka Fennec. Since I have a large monitor I am able to run a very high resolution (1920×1080). As such, I do not have my Firefox window maximized but rather I have it taking the full screen vertically and about half the screen horizontally. There are times I will go to a website, where the developer has decided that the Firefox window should be maximized or a different size. It is still a learning process for the new Thunderbird rapid release schedule. Earlier this month Mozilla Developer’s News blog explained the difference between the merge and release dates. To sum it up, the dates show on the release page (as well as those posted here) are the date the code is being merged on to the particular channel. The actual release can be upto 1-week to allow for testing to ensure the release is stable enough for public consumption. This however only applies to Nightly to Aurora and Aurora to Beta.
