In response to my recent Browser Smörgåsbord entry, some folks have asked for a link to get Minefield (Firefox 3.0a1). Flock Correction

I had stated in my Browser Smörgåsbord entry… “Flock 0.7.6– Mozilla, the same people who brought you Firefox and Netscape also designed Flock, the social web browser.” Turns out the Guru made a bit of mistake as I learned when I received this comment regarding the entry from Will Pate, Community Ambassador, Flock: “FYI, Flock is entirely separate from Mozilla, although we proudly build our web browser on top of Firefox.“ I guess I should have paid more attention to the pop-up when selecting ‘About Flock’, from the Help Menu… Oh yeah, it does say Flock Inc., not Mozilla. Thanks…

More Firefox 2.0 RC1 News

I had mentioned the other night on my Firefox 2.0 RC1 Update entry two bug (353264 & 353266) reports I could not access due to not having a high enough authorization level. Today in mozilla links » Firefox vulnerability disclosed at ToorCon 2006: During hacker convention ToorCon 2006, speakers Mischa Spiegelmock and Andrew Wbeelsoi presented how a current Firefox vulnerability could be exploited to gain control of a web visitor’s computer.
