FEBE: New Version & New Name

Note: This entry was published on July 7th under the title FEBE: New Version, New Name. For whatever reasons the entry had problems as I discovered when I went back into shrink the images. I was not able to save any changes, it would just revert back to what it was prior to editing.

At the beginning of the month, FEBE went from being known as the Firefox Extension Backup Extension to the Firefox Environment Backup Extension. There were also lots and lots changes (see complete Change List on the extension page) with this new version via the options menu.

Once it runs it will display a report in a new tab listing all of your extensions and themes (including those that have been disabled). This report also provides a link to the extension developer’s site (kinda reminds me of InfoLister). Further it also will display a link to the path on your local machine (usually a sub folder with the My Documents folder) where the compressed backed-up copies of the extension are being stored. You can always change this in the options if you want the back-up stored else where.
