While there is an agenda (very basic) listed on the Weekly Update site, I doubt that there will be a weekly update this Monday due to the Memorial Day Holiday. If all goes as planned these things should happen this week: Fx/TBird 1.5.0.12 (Final Update/Release on the Fx 1.5 Branch) released – Wednesday, May 30th Fx 2.0.0.4 released – Wednesday, May 30th Fx 3.0a5/Gecko 1.9a5 released – Thursday, May 31st Update: The agenda for the May 28th meeting has been removed from the WeeklyUpdates site. Fx/TB 1.5.0.12/2.0.04 – Fx & TB 1.5.0.12 updates are almost completed and testing should begin soon. More problems for Fx 2.0.0.4 require another re-spin to RC3. “Final release date might be pushed by a few days”. If that happens it could mean the release could be pushed back to May 25th or 30th (28th is Memorial Day). The final release for the Fx 1.5.0.X builds ideally were suppose to be out by April 24th (six months from when Fx 2.0 was released). Here is what happening since last week: Fx 1.5.0.12 & 2.0.0.4 – A bug in Windows NT 4.0 build of Fx 2.0.0.4 RC1 was discovered last week. This will require a re-spin of RC2 which in turn is going to delay the final release of Fx 1.5.0.12 & 2.0.0.4 builds. Since they are having to do a re-spin on RC2, they will also take that time to correct four other bugs which have come up while testing RC1. The new RC2 build should be ready on Tuesday. Mozilla’s support policy is an older version (in this case 1.5) of an application will (normally) be support for six months after the release of the new version. However there are exceptions, take for instance Firefox 1.5. Given this rule, support should have ended back on April 24th. However the final build (1.5.0.12) was not ready as anticipated so support will officially end when 1.5.0.12 is released on or around May 22nd. Here’s the latest info from this week’s Weekly Update meeting: Fx 1.5.0.12/2.0.0.4 – Due to the 39 open blockers, the code freeze which was scheduled for 04/20/07 has been delayed until later this week. Due to this the release which was scheduled for around May 15th has been pushed back. Thunderbird 2 – Released last Wednesday (April 18th) and has nearly reached the One Million downloads milestone!
