The other day I was looking through my Add-Ons (extensions for those folks using Firefox 1.5.0.X) seeing what I was still using with Firefox 2. I came across the Slim Extension List, which does two things. First, being you can not resize the add-ons (extensions) window, this extension reduces the size of the extension entries so you can fit more in the window with less scrolling. Further it will arrange your extensions in alphabetical order, not the default order which is by when they were installed.
But then I wondered wasn’t this ‘fixed’ with the redesign of the add-ons UI? So after disabling the extension, restarting Firefox, adding some extensions and restarting Firefox yet again, I discovered the extension is totally useless in Firefox 2.0! Part of the redesign cleaned up the add-ons window and has all the extensions listed in Alphabetical order now.
The Slim Extension List only works with Firefox 1.5.0.X, so it nice to have for those whose users who want the updated user interface in their extension window offered by Firefox 2.0
You can edit userChrome.css or use Stylish and add this code for Firefox 2.0 or this code for Firefox 1.0 – 1.5
Groovy. Getting some more use out Stylish now. Thanks
